  1. My Employer coverage is ending. The company is no longer offering coverage. What should I do? Need to apply for something?

    1. You have 60 days from the date your coverage terminates to select one of the following options:

      1. Elect to continue your employer’s group plan through COBRA, which can be extremely expensive.
      2. Enroll in an Obamacare Marketplace plan and apply to see if you’re eligible for a tax credit to help reduce your monthly premiums (which must be completed within 60 days of the date your group plan terminates).
      3. Enroll in a Short Term medical plan at any time with no restriction as to the number of days you’ve gone without coverage before enrolling. However, the plan will not accept enrollments for certain health conditions such as high blood pressure and/or diabetes, and will not cover pre-existing conditions. These plans also do not meet the requirements of the Affordable Care Act, so you will still be subject to the tax penalty.

My recommendation is that we review your options together over the phone so that I can determine whether or not you are eligible for a tax credit. Please Click Here to Schedule a call.
